As someone who attended a non-target school and decided on investment banking pretty late, I had little idea of what to do outside of the core basics. On a whim, I booked an intro call with Matthew Farquhar, and ended up signing up for his program. Looking back, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As an international student, I worried about my career prospects due to no local connections and knowledge. I was completely lost when it came to my interests, academics, and career. I discovered Matthew through one of his posts on LinkedIn talking about his experience when it came to internship recruitment. I thought his post was very insightful, and I sent a connection request. He immediately reached out to me to discuss, and he gave me a lot of wisdom into high finance recruitment, where my school’s co-operative program was unable to give me the proper guidance. He curated a goal and a timeline of how I would be able to achieve a job in high finance. He helped me land a private equity internship in the end.
