Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 24, 2026
Capstack Careers Inc. ("Capstack," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use capstackcareers.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it the way we'd want one written for us — direct, no jargon.
What we collect
When you fill out a form on our site — the waitlist, a workshop registration, or the contact form — we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, and any free-text you write (your university, your situation, your question). When you book a meeting through Calendly, that booking is handled by Calendly under their own privacy policy.
When you ask our chat widget a question, we store your message along with a per-session identifier so we can follow up. We do not associate that identifier with your real identity unless you give us your email.
We collect basic technical information automatically — IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page — through PostHog (data sent to us.i.posthog.com) and standard web analytics. This is used in aggregate to understand which content is useful, not to identify you individually.
How we use it
To respond to you. If you fill out a form or send a question, we use your contact details to reply.
To send you what you signed up for. If you joined the waitlist, you'll get cohort-launch emails. If you registered for the workshop, you'll get workshop logistics. We don't add you to other lists.
To improve the service. Aggregate analytics tell us which pages help and which confuse. We use that to make the site better.
To comply with law. If a legal obligation requires us to retain or share information, we will — narrowly and only as required.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
We share it only with service providers we need to operate — for example, our email host, our form-submission webhook, our analytics tools, and Calendly for scheduling. Those providers process your data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We never pass your information to advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies — some are essential for the site to work, and some are analytics (PostHog behavior analytics, web vitals). You can decline analytics cookies via our cookie banner — when you do, PostHog is opted out and no behavior data is sent. The site continues to function normally.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Doing so won't break the site, though some preferences (like dismissing the cookie banner) won't persist between visits.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email us using the address below and we'll respond within a reasonable period — typically within thirty days.
You can unsubscribe from any of our emails using the link at the bottom of the email. That removes you from that list immediately.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, or as required by law. Inactive accounts and stale form submissions are pruned periodically.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards — HTTPS everywhere, encrypted storage with our service providers, and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we'll notify you.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page and — if the change is significant — notify you by email or via a banner on the site.
Contact us
For any privacy question — to access your data, correct it, delete it, or ask us anything else — email us at support@capstackcareers.com. We read every message.
